Chapter 2. Aether or “Space”?

When we began our research work on this topic (it was in 2000) we too departed from aether. And soon we understood that there are a great number of contradictory properties behind this term – everyone gave it different properties which couldn’t exist together. These properties are obvious not to be objective.
First let’s refer to the Wikipedia:
     - Aether (from Greek – ‘upper air’) is a polysemantic term.
    - Aether, in Greek mythology, is an upper (mountain), superthin (tenuous), transparent and radiant air layer which is breathed by the gods; the personification of this world layer, quintessence, the fifth element.
     - Aether (world aether, lumeniferous aether) in physics from the 17th century to 1930s – is an intermediate  pervasive material medium that fills all the vacuum and all the space between the particles of common substances, its oscillations are to be electromagnetic waves.  This theory was suggested by the physicist N. Tesla (Pic. 2 on the right)

Others consider that aether fills all the space between bodies and gas molecules (Pic. 2 on the left). Others use this term only in connection with the space. Authors of some works on aether immediately make a terrible mistake considering aether immobile [2], but there are no real reasons for it.

Pic. 2. Main variants of aether perpresentations.

The word ‘lumineferous’ should be excluded from aether characteristics as it is a too one-sided word, aether is to transfer radio waves as well. Besides, it is to transfer gravitational energy (this is a force structure). It goes without saying that it is to react to body acceleration. There is one more barely noticeable property – aether doesn’t block body motion with low-level acceleration, it is compliant. A possibility to ‘cut out’ a piece of space and put it into fixed volume indicates the discreteness of its structure. In an effort to reconcile these views we begin to understand the structure consisting of charged particles – free electrons. It is an old Faraday’s idea – to represent space either as a stretched thread or as a compressed structure [3]. Coulomb’s law provides the existence of the characteristics of the second variant. Taking into account a possibility of forming electric and magnetic fields it is a structure having no alternative. And as all solid bodies (conductors and dielectrics) contain free electrons as well, all the space is penetrated by this structure (Pic. 3). The higher electron density is, the higher medium density is [4].

Pic. 3. Space structure.

This model doesn’t have the structure drawbacks of Pic. 1: the left picture doesn’t create connection between a body and space, and the right one doesn’t show the influence of body mass.
Now it seems that all types of substances have common structure with different electron density. It is rather incorrect to call it aether as properties are different. It is nothing else but the world space, the properties of its every separate volume depend on a medium type and gravitation at the point.
We will not consider here the reasons why electron density is spread in this way. It is a nuclear property. One can read a bit about it in [5, 6]. There is no need in proving it, because the proof of the correctness of electron and atom structures is confirmed by the facts [7, 8]. There is an animation representation of these structures on the site [9]. Here we will only state the quantitative characteristic of charge to mass ratio
